I just would weigh in and say that most people do not understand the whole staking process, and that leads to a lot of problems. I see so many people asking for $11 stakes with 50-50 no sb. That makes no sense at all. Then backers wonder why they make no money. 50-50 stake deals with no SB are hillarious, and even with SB there should also be MU. Lol @ 50-50 single game backing deals with no SB or Mu.
You could stake a horse in 10 times $11 games, have them actually make money, and you lose. Example... games 1-4 they make $0. Game 5 they cash for $45. Games 6 and 7 they do not cash, but games 8 and 10 they cash for $38 and $46 respectively. So they made $129 cumulatively, off of $110 staked. Backer gets $22.50 + $19 + $23. Backer gets $74.50 on a $110 stake, and the horse actually turned a profit. Even with $33 SB included, the backer only gets $107.50 back, for a loss of $2.50. It does not make sense to back the horse on 10 times $11 games, and lose $35.50, while the horse gets $64.50 profit. I would argue, stake 1-2 solid horses, and make them agree to SB and MU. Then, keep track of their win/losses. You will be amazed at how your perception of the staking process changes. Take it from me, most people here aren't even a good bet at 50-50 with SB and MU. Just thought that I would clear the air. There have been a lot of problems with staking. I have even run some stakes @ 50-50 with no SB and MU. So I am in a sense killing my own action, but by airing this out, I in a sense am solidifying my position on why I am a solid candidate to be backed. I understand the whole process. These people who toot their own horn about making hundreds of thousands of dollars in OLP, and who talk about all of their successful stakes, they conveniently leave out all of these aforementioned facts. I would rather see backers understand the process of staking, so that they actually make money and continue to stake other players. Just my 2 cents.
