The Triangle Shirtwaist factory was a sweatshop in New York with very poor working conditions. They made cotton and linen women's blouses. Isaac Harris and Max Blanck owned it and 145 people as young as 14 worked there. Almost all of the workers were women. Workers came from all over the United States but the majority of them were from New York where the factory was located. Firemen think the fire that started on the 8th floor of the factory on March 25th, 1911 happened because a cigarette butt was tossed into a bin with many flammable objects. Dozens of employees survived the fire by going up Greene Street which was located near the factory.

This is not all of the info I had on the factory but we were supposed to divide each paragraph up into 3 main points or questions. Here were the 3 I had.

1: What is the Triangle Shirtwaist factory and what was made there?
2: Who worked at the factory and where did they come from?
3: How did the factory burn down and how many people survived?
