things are getting better here amazingly fast really lots of buses outside so that helps still no gas tho hopefully today

update for everyone who is interested - we are doing much better some parts of city like nothing happened we need subways to run so people can get back to work and start to feel better again

most trains are running today and schools opening just amazing considering so everyone will start feeling a sense of normalcy

We were lucky in upstate NY really. Irene was much worse for this area. Although where my mother lives in the higher elevations, about a half hour from me, they got major wind damage. She had a huge tree come down just missing the house and no power for several days.
