Got the name from Britian. You see when they smoked alot of this magical weed, they then would get what we call the munchies. Well the British eat alot of fish n chips, so this is thier equivilent to eatting our american doritos for the munchies and as anyone who like's Long John Silver's food will tell ya. If you eat alot of thier fish and chips you will definately be on the pot.

Actually it was coined by a friend of my dads. His name is Pat and his friend would smoke daily and then with this voice straight from "Fast times at Ridgemont High" would say "Heeeey dude, this is gooooood, Pot."
Of course, the Cali surfer accent would disappear when he wasnt smoking and he could then pronounce "Pat" correctly.
