the odds for this are 1 in 11....lol any more odds questions there is a thing called google.

Ummm, teach him how to do the math.
When you add percentages, you get the overall division of the permanent 10 digit system. Try multiplying said percentages to override the zero clause.

At 1 in 11 it seams like 1 in 111. Can't ever seem to flop a set.

yeah mine seem to come in bunches. or i have a baby pp and get pushed out of the pot preflop.

actually its about 1 out of 8.5 flops which is about 12% of the time

Calculating the chance of flopping a set is a bit more complicated, and to reach the correct percentage or odds, this is how you do it.
On the first card of the flop: 48 cards are bad for you out of the 50 unseen cards.
On the second card, 47 out of 49 cards are bad for you
On the third card 46 out of 48 are bad for you.
The formula you then get is: 1 - (48/50)*(47/49)*(46/48) = 11.75 %, which translated into odds is about 7.5 to 1.
