Today is Veterans Day and it made me think back. In 1963 I was stationed in Fallon, Nevada at a Naval Air Station. Anyway the government was still doing nuclear under ground tests. They took a bunch of us from the base to recover all the cable (for monitoring the blast) on the small mountain above where the thing was exploded. Guess I wasn't exposed to any radition, because I'm still kicking. But I often wonder if they even knew for sure it was safe.... Take care ya'll and don't forget the men and women putting their lives on the line.
