In my opinion Mac is better for business use and not for any type of gaming. Use a PC for poker definitely.

Just depends on what you want to use it for. Both are good options, but as sir said mac is more for business type operations.

I play on a mac, and it's definitely doable. The upside of a mac is that it is very stable, so you shouldn't have stupid issues. The downside is that not all sites have mac software. The only one that I feel I'm missing out on is BCP/ACR. If you get a mac, you can get a windows emulator to run other software. One major upside for playing on a mac is the battery life is pretty insane, so you don't need to be tied to a wall all the time. If you decide to go with a pc, avoid hp at all costs. If you buy one you WILL regret it. They have had MAJOR problems with parts breaking for a few years now.
I'm gonna give that bitch a freeroll, bitches love freerolls.

if you're planning on running a HUD/TableNinja etc then you're gunna run into a lot more problems on a mac.

Desktop PC with two screens.
When it comes to poker clients, you really don't need a super high end computer or anything. But definitely windows, since everything will be more compatible. You can do a dual boot windows on a mac though as well, though sometimes you run into issues when doing so.
