Phil already has money, that takes a lot of the fear away. No matter what he's gonna win over half a million, that takes more fear away. Even if the other guy wins, Ivey would still have more chips. It doesn't hurt that Ivey is an excellent player who can probably read better than most. But the odds are in his favor. I think most aggressive player who aren't controlled by fear, lust, or any other emotion could make this play at a stake they are comfortable with.

Ivey is one scary Mofo. He had to have a read on Jackson to pull that off, right? Figured Jackson for a 7 or a str8 draw. This is the kind of thing we all dream of being able to pull off, but only the true superstars like Ivey can really do it. Helmuth would have folded with the first re-raise.
