It is as random as a deal in real life. There are no differences. The cards that you and everyone else are dealt are always random. Another thing is the lack of vision. IRL, you can look at the other players, so in essence, you are automatically at a disadvantage when playing online poker, but it is an even disadvantage, meaning that all players experience it. But the cards are random.
The only 2 things i disagree with is regulation and randomness. I once read (in the poker bible i think) the only real random deal is 7 shuffles, not 6 not 8 and not 12 LOL 7 shuffles but even live unless the dealer is looking str8 ahead( and no where near the cards) i have seen people stack the deck.

Regulations : there is none, the KGC is corrupt as anything in life is, plus they have a fake company do the audits, so unless you are unlucky or playing against someone working there we will all see some terrible plays win and bad beats

There are a couple of ways to look at it. It would be foolish not to think that the poker sites have a suped-up random number generator to make bad beats and big hands happen more often than in real life. Those are the hands that drive up the rake. I also think, on the flip side, that you see many times more hands online than live, so the number of these types of hands may be inflated because of the volume.

In my experience, though, there are way more 1-outers online than in live play. It does seem quite obvious.
