well I look at it like A-K is already a better kicker situation over K-Q no matter the suit. Pre Flop even better but after that hold your breath and weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

why do people like KQ? it's a marginal hand suited or not. every hand i play i ask myself what am i hoping to catch. with KQ if you catch a pair how confidant are you when you make top pair? any guy with AK or AQ has you crushed and you're a 7 to 3 dog pre and drops to 9 to 1 if you do catch a pair and you're dominated.
also if you catch a king high straight any bozo calling with Ace rags is going to stack you. There is a reason KQ is trouble hand. You can only win small pots unless you get lucky.

AK off is better preflop in my opinion but as we all know that can quickly change.
