I read a blog today why these poker sites can still except us players and it was saying its all about the banking. and for them not breaking that law its ok basicly. But then y wouldn't pokerstars bring back the us and just change the way they bank. To me it seems like I haven't been able to win since black Friday happened. But live my hands seem to hold up just fine a major company as pokerstars wont change there banking and start excepting us but these little ass sites will hmmm. Seems weird to me what you guys think

I think because when they did have the go round with the DOJ because they were using US banks, part of the settlement was to say they wouldn't open to us when they came back. ( if I remember correctly, I would have to go back through other forums to get all of the facts )

it's not just about banking methods although that's the main reasoning..but like i was reading an article the other day, about the practices that sites like Ubet were doing..which seems to make sense at first. Then i read our governor along with some republicans (our gov is a democrat) is trying to seize control of rooms ..their main target is poker stars and full tilt, and keep most of the assets for themselves which is pretty f'd up, yet gambling on horses is ok. I'm pretty sure these guys have some sort of deal with the casinos in our surrounding states of OHio and Indiana

That's true. One of their processors had actually bought a large part of a bank to launder money. Also one of their payment processors, Daniel Tzvetkoff, who had stolen $100,000,000 from PokerStars, FullTilt, and UB combined, gave the DOJ information that he had been keeping for a rainy day about the 3 sites to keep his own sorry ass out of jail. That's a disadvantage that the current sites operating in the US haven't had to face.
