So the us government has started cracking down on online poker sites by shutting down the big 3 (poker stars, full tilt, and absolute poker. At the time these sites on a daily basis had over 100,000 players at any given time. These were also companys who followed gaming laws to prevent cheating and ensure the entegrity of the game. These sites all were highly advertised and publicized by some of the biggest names in poker.
Poker started in the United States but our government now wants to attempt to control and manipulate our ability to play. The poker boom also started in america and has generated millions of dollars in revenue for buisness and the government alike (poker winnings in casinos and elsewhere are taxable). To ensure that they dont start taking sites like this one as well I personally think its time for americans who love and enjoy the game as i do stand up and write letters to all of your representatives in your state as well as sending letters to washington.
A couple of things to note in your letters is that all these sites place limits on your buy in amounts (something no casino in america does voluntarily). Thus helping to curb problem gambling.
Also when we work we pay taxes on our money and what we choose to do with our funds after that it is up to us.
And third the fact that the one state that is self sufficient (nevada) has all of its state taxes paid by the casinos thus meaning that the government has long been in favor of profiting from gaming so either cut their ties with gaming or give us the ability to enjoy poker from the confort of our home if we choose to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this happened april 15th and is dubbed black friday in the pokerworld. The government seized the top 3 poker sites used by americn players. Just another way for the government to show us and tell us whats best for us
