Sports books are illegal in the US under most circumstances ... the law is very clear on this.
Where it is legal in the US a gaming license is required and regular independent audits occur. A Vegas casino can do this, some guy with a server in Michigan can not.

It does bring up some interesting legal questions. I agree, betting with points is different than betting money. And using my idea, the site is not betting at all, as we the players are both booking and betting. I mean, if I put an ad on Craig's list that I cover bets, is Craig's list liable?

You'd have to show me the craigs list ad to see if they would be similar.
Sportsbetting is something I want to do, but not until I could partner with a company in the EU"And Shepherds we shall be. For thee, my Lord, for thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand. Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be.
In Nomeni Patri Et Fili Spiritus Sancti."

I think that it is an idea that certainly has some potential, but I think that it would need some refining.

I would like to add that my example is just that -- an example. There is absolutely no way in hell a Kerry Collins led offense is putting up 30 points this season, even against the Browns.
