I am sure that this is just me but at the very beginning of a session if i end up winning the first pot that i play (besides checking/completing from the blinds) like the first pot that i willingly am putting chips into then i tend to have an overall good/winning session.

Superstitions can be dangerous, IMO. It's all a twist on ego. If you think something is going to help you, and you really believe it deep down, then it probably is going to help you. But, wearing yellow socks or mucking the first hand by default don't actually have ANY effect on the cards or other players. What changes is the state of mind of the person who puts those socks on, or who mucks that hand. If you can get your mind right you will see results, and however you decide to do it is irrelevant.

I play a regular game with a guy who swears he always wins when he holds diamonds, lol. I've burned him so many times I've lost count, yet he maintains. If he thinks it helps, I let him think that. Then I count his $$.

i am NOT superstitious or religious at all, so NOTHING applies in my life... karma, none of that. I do not believe that we live in a / the twilight zone. no such thing as luck, hot streaks, none of that. Only real thing is numbers, sometimes numbers repeat repeatedly, its of no mysterious value though. Statistical anomalies and improbabilities just happen, they just do... they have to, or they wouldn't be numbers.

I got called out on this tonight in tournament i played at casino first hand i was dealt I just mucked em didnt even look at em, which I do every tournament I play live just a habit and I dont even remember where i first heard that...

What are some things yall do like this? (playing any two suited cards does not count)

My mom believes this in bingo also. She says every time she has seen anyone win the first game they dont win the rest of the night lol.
