I don't believe in superstitions per say. In my opinion anything and everything is possible in the game of poker. I suppose things could work as far as being beneficial or not during certain activities if you will but everyone believes different things etc. Nonetheless, good luck to everyone both on and off the felts. *hugs*

There are tons of old sayings or dumb superstions people live by as a general rule for them in poker, one of mine is ....

" If you win the first pot you wont win the last pot "

I got called out on this tonight in tournament i played at casino first hand i was dealt I just mucked em didnt even look at em, which I do every tournament I play live just a habit and I dont even remember where i first heard that...

What are some things yall do like this? (playing any two suited cards does not count)

Yeah we always called it the "death" hand. If you win first hand you can bet on not finishing good LOL Only 2 hands ill play the first hand with is AA or KK, but if that happens i know my luck will be bad for where i finish if i even finish in the money.

Karma can be a bitch and there is such a thing as good luck and bad luck, whether you believe in it or not.

not really superstitous but i always listen to musicwhen playing for more than a hour and thats about it dont have a lucky hand or alucky penny or anything like that lol

one superstition I ALWAYS follow..I wear pants LIVE, and do not ONLINE. I mixed this up once, due to medication problems, and did not get to even SEE a hand @ the casino!

I guess my personal superstition is that if I'm feeling confident and really good about a tournament it doesn't go very well. But if I really believe I'm gonna lose, then I usually do pretty good! That tends to be my luck in life not just poker. I tend not to get excited about things until they actually happen.
