There is so much diverse stylez out there, that it's just not possible to write down what you should do in every given situation that will come up. It would be bigger than the bible.

When I play call of duty or halo, I don't read books about it to get better on how to win lol. Why would I do so with poker. Practice practice.

If you do read a book, I would only do it when you are playing winning poker already, and only read the book to see what people out there are trying to emulate, and find a way to exploit it.

there is no new age rules set in stone, the old school basics will still get you along way.

Tendler's "The Mental Game of Poker" is pretty good. I don't have a copy now, but a friend loaned it to me and it was a good read

Ordered myself both of these books less than a week ago from amazon, can't wait to get them. Tilt, as with most, is perhaps my biggest issue with maintaining a br online and I have heard great things about these books and although I have improved without them lately they can only make things easier I'm sure.

The best way to learn is to play. I first read some phil hellmuth books and they did help, but now poker is different.
