I guess it depends on how detailed you want your notes, you can note all players and there positions like utg, utg+1 em,(early middle) mid, lm(late middle) late, button etc.. then note if they fold ,call, raise and so on. You can get pretty involved if you choose to

i never used notes....never played against someone THAT important who deserved it .......

dont have anything written down on anyone except when i win smth or loose most often in SnG's because i do like 50 of them in a row..

I rarely write anything down. I used to when I first started playing, but when playing on pokerstars, you hardly every get to meet the same players again.

i use more tags than notes, as shark, fish, crown, whale, chip for cautious, if i use notes its PGH (plays good hands) or aggress. will min raise with big hands. stuff like that. good luck

Don't use a lot of notes. But do tag a lot of players and keep mental notes.
