I think its a good strategy sometimes to protect a good hand that you have, but one where your opponent could have alot of draws.

It's stupid. Sometimes it works, but other times it's just really obvious. Like if there's 910JQK and he bets big, it's very likely he has the Ace.

eh I think over betting has it's place and time. When you are bluffing or trying to steal a pot.

sometimes an overbet can help isolate a player you want to go HU with in a hand...it depends on conventional vs. fish players in a hand

not always...sometimes and i mean most of the time they just check and slowplay the nuts hoping that you will bet them.. why do you say that overbeting when you got nuts is fishy maybe is an ABC game...or a vulnerable nuts like a 3 card of same color and you have nut flush but with 2 cards like 2 6 .you guess how can it finish

In the right scenario and player then its very effective, but it's not a move you should rely on, or even attempt often. IMO
