I used to see my uncle playing with his friends in a home game when I was 4 or 5, I think was the first time.. I used to say "Can I play?" Then when I was like 9 or 10 he finally let me sit with them and gave me 20 $ to play.. The game, 7 card stud.. Well I cleaned up, won my uncle about 100 bucks.. Its in my blood, everyone has a natural talent, mine is cards.. Well other than the occasional poker with my uncle I didn't play poker too often but I was always gambling ever since I can remember.. I would cut grass, or do paper routes, allowance etc. then take that money and gamble, almost anything we would gamble on, "I bet u 10 bucks I can make 10 three pointers before you".. "I bet you I can get that girls number".. "Lets play madden for 100$, if you win by 21, its double!" I was always gambling, and always had money in my pocket.. Well around 2003 - 2004 I was over my friend Stan's house and his buddy Harley and his brother Red came over to chill.. We were all sitting around drinking and saying, "Let's call up some chicks, u know any" to each other.. Then Harley said " I have a deck of cards and some chips in my car, let's play some Hold'em.." I didn't know how to play Hold'em, but I had seen it on TV.. The one thing I did know was it was a card game and it was poker.. So we all put in a 10 $ buy in winner take all and we played.. I won.. 40 bucks in like a half an hr.. I was shoving over the top if I felt weakness, I was sucking people in when I had a monster, it was natural.. Well Harley, who was about 5 yrs older than me and had been playing poker semi-professionally live for about 3 or 4 yrs already told me about online poker. " You know there is a site called party poker where you can play online for money right?" , he said. I was like "Really? Real money?".. So first chance I got I got the program, setup an account and played a freeroll. I won.. First time ever playing a freeroll, I won it! I thought, hell I'm gonna do this all the time.. Well needless to say I've been playing ever since. Party poker, then absolute. Ultimate bet and Poker stars, Full Tilt.. Then Lock and Carbon.. I love poker because its natural for me.. I feel at home with chips and green felt in front of me.. I always feel like I'm gonna win, and I can always spot the fish.. I love making money at something I have a natural talent for, plus I have always loved action since I was 4 or 5 yrs old.. Almost all my friends call me Stackz, they say because I always had stacks of chips when they seen me at a table.. I always want to get better, everyday I play I am trying to learn something new.. If I make a mistake I always learn from it and correct it the next time I am in that situation.. I have read books, watched poker, watched training videos, and am currently talking to a new member of this site about coaching.. I'm always striving to get better everyday I play.
