Most important element in Poker

Hi everyone,

so someone recently told me that the most important element in sucessful poker play was the math; knowing what you got and it's chances. I've always thought that more important than that is sussing out your opponenet - what do you think?

I say it for the 10 000 000 time in my life : POKER IS ABOUT PLAYING WITH THE PERSON INFRONT OF YOU NOT WITH THE CARDS,NOT WITH THE MATH.EVEN IF THE MATH TELLS YOU TO CALL IF YOU KNOW YOU`RE GONA LOSE CUZ YOU KNOW YOU`RE OPPONENT YOU GONA CALL ?! GO AHEAD THEN BE MY GUEST AND LOSE SOME MONEY ON MATH ! KIDS HAVE A RIGHT TO HATE MATH-MAKE`s YOU TAKE THE WRONG DESISIONS SOME TIME`S
