can't type in main chat even after verifying email.. why?

goto notifications up top, then inbox, scroll down and on the left click general settings, make sure its checked to show it.

I dont see anything that can be turned on that isn't. the main chat is showing but there's no box to type anything into.

and you have to be logged in, if you aren't...other than that, follow instructions

Sometimes after 5 or 10 mins of being on this site I just somehow get logged out...refresh
