Ha I know how you feel man. I used to make the same mistake all the time, but I have learned to keep pot control oop and to respect people's raises and re-raises. I think one of the biggest leaks of a beginner is that they don't respect other's bets and they overvalue a preflop hand or TPTK. Maybe you can evaluate your game from that day and try your best to plug up some leaks you noticed and win your money back another day. Good luck man.

hahaha I never should have been invited to this site. You should know that had that AK been played at ANY CASINO it would have been played correctly, However by reading your post im assuming this game isnt in a casino setting more of a house game with house players. House players usually 3 and no more than 4 with a full table will constantly do this to 4-5 players acting as shields at the end of the game the 4 of them typically break down the winnings between them. You are playing a shady game which in turn will ruin your true game. Heres how they are busting you though if you go back and think about your game that day.
First hand you have something decent AQ and u raise....you have at least 3 other callers on your decent hand.....the flop comes some crap like 3 9 6.....if you check they have in turn beat you, if you bet they will reraise and have some BS hand like 93 off....either way you assume your good cause no one would call a reraise or reraise with any of that junk on the board unless they stood to gain and spilt it 3-4 ways.....you might catch your A on turn but you wont catch your Q too and then they know they have you sucked right in.....either way they are going to bust you the majority of the time and your great/decent hand will always lose when you have shields in a game.
Oh and to the ones that think im full of it.....Please Respond back ill gladly give my opinion to that as well!

That's a tough one. I don't know how the guy that beat you was playing but with the all-in raise I would feel I was beat at that point. Sometimes it's really hard to let go of our emotions and not play/let go some hands we really don't want. I think it's something that most of us get better at with with each hand we play. GL in your poker endeavors.

People either raise or go all in with AK the odds are against it but that's poker!
