It is better to play what you are able to be successful in. That varies for each person, and sometimes at different levels. I find that at the microstakes level, I do well at the limit tables. Others do better at the NL.

If you're confident in your game, then sure. Sometimes for limit, players don't have patience.

Limit poker is extremely disciplined at the higher levels. Most players do not have the skill set to beat high stakes limit poker games. Anyone who thinks limit poker is for pussies; go sit down with Jennifer Harmon and Johnny Chan and watch swings in the neighborhood of +/- $250,000. NLHE allows undisciplined players to occasionally show profit, these same players find that the luck variable does not repay them for all the poor play when they are playing against disciplined opponents.

I play limit because I have a higher bankroll requirement for no limit and I'm not quite there yet.

Play whatever you are good at. While you can get away with a smaller bankroll playing limit understand that it is a completely different game than playing no limit. calls and draws that might not be correct in NL are usually correct in limit. I usually play nl tournaments and limit cash games, I find that this just fits the way I like to play so I do well at it.
