Just like poker, I would take Johnny Chan 66.6% of the time. He is flat out a better holdem player than Phil is. Though, it's really close.

Chan is the best of all time and would not have any problems taking down the poker brat in a NL HU match.

Phil beat Johnny in 1989 but in the 2011 heads up match Johnny Chan played way better than Hellmuth and won in the end. Hellmuth is still a beast with 13 bracelets.

Johnny is a better cash player I'd say, but Phil is one of the best in the world at live, large-field mtts. In just a straight, even starting stack, HU sng, I'd give Johnny the edge.
