I'm an addict. I can't stop playing even though I am so freaking tired of playing. I've spent the l've spent the last 13 hours playing. I've been playing for at least 2-3 hours when I wake up in the mornings. I spend all my downtime at work playing freerolls or on PO. I need to stop, because I'm not even having much fun, but I've made some improvements to my game recently and I'm becoming a little more profitable. Today was actually good for my bankroll, but I need to take a break! Instead of taking a break I'm playing like a lunatic in Fun Steps!! Ok, that's just my rant for tonight. I already know I won't be playing tomorrow, so I'll get a little bit of a break. All I need is a few days away, and then I'll be right back having fun with poker again.

Lol, nice, but I'm not really into group therapy. I'd rather sit and home and play poker. Plus I would feel like a real asshole going in there with people that have lost thousands of dollars just to say I haven't lost anything, I just spend to much time online playing poker for pennies!
When I lived in Missouri I actually tried to blacklist myself from the casinos there, and it was the most gigantic pain in the ass, degrading process ever. So that on top of the fact my husband didn't think it was a good idea meant I never followed through.

take several weeks off. same thing happens in chess, you get burnt out sometimes and when you come back after awhile it is enjoyable again

Yes if you take a break when you feel like that you come back refreshed...
