I would say get to a $1.25 so you have 10 buy-ins to the 11c SnG. My thought being that with a small bankroll it should be relatively easy to regain via freeroll if you were to blow it all.

if you're playing on pokerstars you can start with the .02 cent sitngos I started playing those when i got up to 2.50 from freerolls, need to make it to final table to really advance from there though

I would agree with playing the 11 cent sit and gos on carbon. there cheap but only downfall is how quick they are. super turbo so after a round or two its pretty much shove all in or fold. gluck

I would also say if u are having a lil trouble building roll than u can always play fixed micro limit. which is also hard to play with such low br. but if u did then play tight and cross you're fingers on those stakes.
