Yea first time i saw this, i was wow,, the biggest needle i have ever seen... he tanks for a while on this kid. then tries to be nice..... and runs it 4 times for the LC cuz he feels bad... leave your emotions at home when playing poker.. Period.

he didn't blow up because everything was as expected. he got it in ahead of the loose canon, he put the odds extremely in his favor to win big, and he was validated in his claim that he is not lucky since this happened in front of his peers

By the tittle of this thread, I'm assuming that you are saying losing with A 10 vs A J is a bad beat?
I love Phil and I think he played well, considering his lack of good hands, but that wasn't a bad beat, even after the flop (other guy had a flush draw, then a straight draw).Beliefs are the eyelids of the mind
