First off, let me say that even though this is a good amount of money, poker is still just a hobby. I have a proffesion and poker will never pay the bills.
So I want to be straight with the forum, my online gambling experience hasn't gone well recently.
I've lost about $250. Nothing major but it's still sad when I load my client and see 0.38
Little note- Got 1,200 locked in Full Tilt, Bastards at the FBI
How'd I do it?
First- Blackjack- Lost about $50 on BJ on carbon, set a strong strategy but of course I was not smart in playing a game which is so very restricted. You can only play 1 hand, only split twice, only double down on 9-11, and of course you cannot keep a count because the RNG shuffles the deck every hand. So Definently my fault.
Second-Roulette- Yeah, totally my fault. Got that complusion the wheel gives everyone. Lost another $50 or so. (I even got up to $140 on it and then blew it all)
So I e-mailed carbon support and had them permanently restrict my account from the casino section.
Third- Poker- So i'll divide this into three categories: Cash Games: Well- Actually truth be told I've probably won overall just playing hours worth of .02-.04. But then When my roll was around $55 i did a stupid thing and rolled in $10 to a .05-.10 game, got all in pre holding A-K and lost to A-Q.
Sit and Gos- I've played a ton of 2.20 one table sit and gos. I'm about a break even slightly profitable return on these.
MTT- I cash about 1/4 MTTs I play. I just started to play in MTTs my bankroll couldn't support.
HU- Lost almost all my rolls on those damn Super turbo 2.10, 4.15, 8.20, and 15.20 HU matches. I've got to friggin stop playing those.
So forum- Is my experience alone? Has anyone else blown rolls on those Super turbo HU or on 21 or Roulette? Also, How do I properly Bankroll manage to keep a steady return when i do load another $35-50 on it? In your history, do you build rolls on SNGs, Cash Games or MTTs?
And most importantly- How do you keep your composure when losing your roll? Avoiding tilt? And what perameters, like 5% per game or so, do you set for yourself?
While I'm cooling off from my losses for the next couple of days I hope I get some really helpful Respones-
Your Friend to all,
GottImHimmel

it always has been happening to me i dont know y i dont lose my temper that easily and react because that is the worst way to play poker and sure way of losing more money. what happens if im winning i take chances sometimes which suddenly backfire i shud listen to guns n roses song all you need is a little patience. i hope you too be more patient and build back your bankroll i had touched around 20 dollars then went down to 80 cents then back to around 18 and back down then i finally made a deposit its 18 again because i want to touch 250 pts. i recommend you try building your bankroll slow and steady without making any more losses feel good about building it out of nothing try to make it $ 20 doing this playing only freerolls and sngs because its better than making a deposit and blowing it up do that only when you ready good luck..

Never have blown of my roll so far thanks to a strict BRM.
I guess you should avoid all casino games and concentrate on Poker.
In Poker maybe you should at first also concentrate on one game and not mix up all forms (cash, SnG, MTT, HU).
Try to build up your roll again and use a strict BRM.

Play games/buy-in levels that you dont mind losing at. You should be comfortable chasing a nut flush draw 3 or 4 way - if not you choke yourself out. If you dont have enough bank roll to call for pot odds ur screwed. Try pot limit/limit for a bit till you calm down.

Tilt is an inevitable pain in the azz! Everyone tilts! The hard part is recognizing it and doing something about it. Easier said then done. My suggestion, find yourself a site that you just don't like, and when you go on tilt on your home site, go play on your slummin' site.

As Stack said, it's not possible avoid getting tilt from time to time... But as MIGO said, a BRM will help you to stop your loss. You must play MTT, SnG and cash tables where you can afford loosing and also you feel no pressured about it. That way you'll be able to win in upswings and loosing just a little amount when a downswing comes.
And don't play roulette or blackjack... Those are luck games and nothing else... By the other side, Poker has strategy and even with a bad hand you can make some money
Regards,
Aces.

Poker can pay the bills if you are successful at it.
