Nice bounce back
Played another session of 6-12 oe and it went much better than the last. Wound up winning $207. I played well but honestly the cards really went my way. Hit a big card in two different hands and they were big parts of my success. Also, I made a nice bluff in stud with a pair of deuces and scooped a nice pot. I felt pretty focused and did not deviate from tag strategy. It was great that the game was completely full so I did not have to worry about short handed play. I will continue to avoid short handed play at all costs but definitely study that aspect just in case a juicy game presents itself. I always feel that it is preparation that separates the successful from the unsuccessful. John Wooden once said, "When you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail." I think poker players can learn a lot from that quote. All too often, we go to a table thinking we are the best and that the money will just flow our way. But that isn't the case. If it was, it would be a game of pure luck. So my final thought of the post is this: what have you done today to prepare yourself to be the best person at your next table? Answer honestly and that will give you tremendous perspective into your growth as a player. Until next time, good luck and see you on the felt.
