Back in action
It was my first day of poker in September and I decided to play a survivor tournament. It was $75 and winners would get $500 if they cashed (1 in 9). I chipped up nicely through the first three levels but then the blinds got bigger and the play got more aggressive. With a 13 big blind stack I decided to resteal against an aggro opener with 44. He opened the cutoff I shoved on the button. The big blind thought for ten seconds and called the opener folded. The big blind showed 66 and he won. I love my play there. I can't fathom how he calls there. My image was great, he was flat calling a cold 3 bet, if he lost he would have been devastated. O well. My play was good. The result was bad.
In other news, I played some online sessions. Nothing too good or too bad. I made a couple final tables but no big cashes. I played some cash sessions as well. Also nothing to write home about. I'm still very optimistic about the month but I am worried my volume will be low because I have many obligations this month. But I am committed to making time for poker this month. It will be a great month I just know it. Until next time, good luck and see you on the felt.
