Its a combination, and whether it is more of one or the other is dependent upon the player. I have always said though that tournament poker is "surviving the bullsh#t".

i think poker is mostly a luck game, and like 5% skill. Because you need to know the time and right time to bluff and bet

poker is a game of skill. this is why the same ppl... "skilled" ppl are profitable consistantly. it would be impossible to make a living off of a game of luck.
NLHE poker imo is 30% luck. most all in hands are 63/37 some are 70/30, pp over pp is 80/20, drawing to two pair, behind post flop is usually 75/25 ish, str8 and flush draw is rougly 65/35 post flop.
In general, i LOVE ppl that think poker is luck, I eat these fishies 80% of the time. I do also hate when these ppl get lucky. i wonder if ppl knew their odds, would they make some of the same fish calls.RANGER (B2B HU LOYALTY GAME CHAMP! DO YOU REMEMBER THOSE NOOB? NO, NO YOU DON'T!)

no limit poker is a skill while limit poker is a science, but both only consist of about 30% luck....

I would say luck plays a larger factor in online play compared to live play. Clearly you must possess skill in both genres!
