Anybody seen any follow up on this? Occurs to me that if this happened in a high-profile event like this, it's probably been going on for quite some time in other games there.

I'd think jail would be the best possible outcome. Yeah, the casinos are supposed to be clean now, but if there's still some mob influence, this is the kind of thing that would piss someone off enough to start mixing up some cement galoshes.
