Just was watching the news and said a bill to make gambling online completely legal in the state of Florida. Never really though of florida to be a state to go out and legalize it before alot of other states. I live in florida though and couldn't be happier!

I'm surprised to see that it's not already legal there - I know I've played in a few different card rooms, not all of them associated with Native American casinos. Is it that you have to have a permit to run a poker room, and they are trying to make it legal without a permit (home games, bar games, etc)?

I'm hoping online poker will be legal, nationwide, within years.
Many states are missing out on free revenue. I live in Texas and I can't imagine how much money is leaving our borders going to Oklahoma and Louisiana (Indian Reservation Casino's) to gamble when that money could be pumped into our own economy.
