PS3 Game Dead Island

Has anyone played this game. I picked it up at Gamestop for $1.99 and thought it couldnt be that bad. I was told there was a part 2 to this game also.

I played it on the 360 bought the original when it was new it was fun first few weeks but it got rather repetitive pretty quickly this wasn't has fun. As left for dead

I have this game for 360, but have not played it yet; younger sister bought it and played it and gave it to me. I heard it was fun, but repetitive.
