What! Is this about Ichiro? If so, please give details and please tell me he is now playing for Oakland. Or you talking about another Suzuki. This guy is the best contact hitter in the game, and now he is learning to hit a home run when needed. He has walk off home runs more often than a home run at any other at bat. At least used to. My all time favorited player is holder of this title, hopefully forever - Rickey Henderson. Hope my 1989 World Series Baseball signed by the Oakland team that season is still in possesion by my family.

Ichiro is a Yank now ... ironically his first game as a NYY was in Safeco ... got a hit first at bat and then stole second base.

(bigtime Ichiro fan here ... I was living in Seattle when he joined the M's)

I've always liked Ichiro but seeing him as a Yankee might change that a little bit. Being a Twins fan it's hard to like the Yankees.
