Nadal in sand hasnt rival...now hes very good at other surfaces

Federer, especially in his heydays, is definitely the more complete player. Nadal too has great technique but his power and athletic abilities, in combination with the fact that he's a lefty, makes him a very tough opponent for Fed (just check out the record between the two, especially in the big games).

Props to Rafa to be the man to end Federers reign at Wimbledon, but his style of playing wears his body out greatly and that why I think Federer is better. I root for Nadal though

Federer is so smooth and makes the game look almost effortless. I love watching Federer and Nadal face off when it happens. Novak Djokovic is very impressive, as well.
