So much for the braves taking down the world series. Typical braves, choking in the post season.

Cardinals are at the top of their game right now and their pitching can shut down either the Red Sox or the Tigers.

Why do you assume this?? Sure Cardinals have looked good in the playoffs but lets look at who they have played so far...... Dodgers and Pirates.
Pirates 20th in Runs scored, 22th in Batting Average, 17th in OBP, 16th in Slugging and 17th in OPS
Dodgers 17th in Runs Scored, 6th in Batting Average, 9th in OBP, 15th in Slugging and 13th in OPS.
Basically the Dodgers are an average - slightly above average hitting team, while the Pirates are in the bottom half of every stat and bottom third in some. Pirates are at best an average offense and alot closer to a below average offense,
So yeah, props to the Cardinals for keeping these offenses quiet in the post-season but these 2 average offensive teams are nothing compared to the Tigers and Red Sox. Just to compare lets look at the Tigers and Red Sox....
Tigers 2nd in Runs Scored, 1st in Batting Average, 2nd in OBP, 2nd in Slugging and 2nd in OPS.
Red Sox 1st in Runs Scored, 2nd in Batting Average, 1st in OBP, 1st in Slugging, 1st in OPS.
If the Cardinals make it to the World Series there is the chance that they shut down these teams, but realise that the Cardinals pitching has shut down average-below average National league Line-ups, assuming they will do the same to Powerhouse American League line-ups that together are top 2 in nearly ever offensive stat is a massive jump to take.
