The Kentucky Derby is not the best race for betting big money. Too many horses. The best horses can get caught up in the pack. The lines are out of whack too. But it is fun to be there.

I usually keep up on this and go to the races a few times a year. This year I'm out of the loop.
I see that "I'll have another" just won and paid really nice.

Ponies are ahead of poker on my hobbies list. The rider came from a bottom level track in Vancouver a few months back to the real deal at Santa Anita. Saw his last race and he definately was capable. Trainer is top notch but a rare scene to have an unknown rider show his stuff on the biggest race. Doubt they will change riders and sure hope they dont. Bode almost stole it front end and will probly take Preakness.
