Can't understand the "Boys" signing a six year ext. for Tony (Choke) Romo. Already wasted so much talent at other positions with this bum. He's another Danny White, very good quarterback but can't win the big ones. Just my thoughts.

Yea very surprising that he got an extension for that long but I dont think they shouldve let him go. I dont know what his contract is but with $55 guaranteed, I dont think he'll be cut after a couple of years if they find someone better.

I always think of people who dislike romo as just casual fans. The dude is a good QB. It seems no matter what goes wrong in a game the Cowboys always have the last possession with an oppurtunity to tie or win.
I think the contract extension is fine. QB is a premium position in the NFL and you have to overpay at that spot. You dont just get rid of a guy like Romo and upgrade the QB position. Look at all the teams that are consistenly picking at the top of the draft and are coming out with QB's like Blaine Gabbert.
Cowboys O-line sucks, put Brady/Manning in that spot and they have worse results than Romo. IMO Romo is top 10 QB, and as i said before you just dont let players like him leave.
If i was a Cowboys fan there are other things i would be alot more concerned about. Such as the horrendous cap situation. You can only restructure people so much. Its not like restructuring deals makes the cap hit disappear it just pushes it back to future years of the contract.
Then the horrible decision to fire Rob Ryan and hire Monte Kiffin. Firstly Cowboys D was like top 5 until injuries just to much of a toll, so if anything i would look at the Cowboys D and Rob Ryan as a positive going forward. Then more importantly the Cowboys went out last offseason and signed Brandon Carr to a big Free Agency deal then traded up to the 6th pick in the draft to select Morris Claiborne. They put serious money into Carr and draft capital into Claiborne to fit Ryans Defensive scheme that is alot of Man coverage only to hire a new Defensive Co-ordinator who runs more of a Zone Scheme. That kinda stuff just emphasises that the Franchise has no direction.

Looks like the Cowboys situation is like the situation the Raiders were in with Al Davis. Glad I'm not a fan of either.
