cloud atlas is up there now as an instant classic for me in more recent years....and shawshank redemption is forever going to be a classic of course

The best movie ever is for me "The Game" with Micheal Douglas.
A movie from the year 1997.
Great story and a very nice ending.
An other movie I really like is "The Matrix" but only the first of the 3 movies with Keanu Reeves from the year 1999.
the first one is nice because of the story. It is a little bit mysterious.

Interesting mix. I'm not sure how Transformers can fit in with most of the others you mentioned. It's huge on special effects but not much in the way of story. I actually like Watchmen too, but I wouldn't put it on a favorites list. Thought it was too long and was pretty slow at times.
