How can you tell if a reality show is real or fake?

They are all staged/scripted to a certain degree. Watch for the ones that have the disclaimer that they are reenactments. Those are mostly completely fake.

Totally agree. Amazing Race is the one "reality" show I continue to watch season after season.

I think the hunger and exhaustion are real, but there is definitely very careful editing to make people look good or bad

99% of all reality shows are scripted..so they're not really reality shows in my opinion.

I'd say google the show. But the truth is, mostly reality shows have some type of script. Things are set up to get a reaction.
