I believe the best horror movie is Texas Chainsaw Massacre. That is a good flick with some gory scenes.

Movies based on Stephen King novels are good. For example The Shining, The Green Mile, Secret Window or Misery.

The Shining always creeped me out. I like the creepy ghost stories more than the slasher types.

I loved the first Saw movie, and liked most of the sequels as well -- except for the very last one which was horrible.
