I keep having tremendous success in live tourneys.. I've won 1st at 5 Ameristar Casino, Vicksburg MS, Thursday night tourneys so far this year. I've played 13, and finished on the final table 11 times. I really believe that playing online day after day for the past 5 years has taught me much of the skill and strategy I've developed to be a winner... just sayin'

agreed you can see a lot more sickness in a shorter period of time online. However the cards seem to fall slightly different live but the moves and strategy seem to be the same. Practice makes perfect.

Congrats on the success. Couldn't agree more on online tournaments being a great vehicle to future success in the live arena.
I Started learning how to play poker online. Played in my first live tournaments this past month and I made the payout in my first 2 tournis. No way could i have done that without tutoring myself online first.

bottom line is playing online teaches u the value of a hand and to not fkn fold it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cant tell you how many solid hands Id fold 3 way to only find out the big stack had complete shet and the 2nd guy had less then me - and we both fold to the big stack just bullying.
The other thing is notes/watching what's going on and understanding human behavior. Very ez to see a weak table/tilted player/someone that thinks they have to shove when down to 20BB's and ur 10 10 is probably gold jerry!
Most pros play aggressively and the tournaments where people fold to them or they donk a river - they win them....then lose the next 5 or 6 going out fairly early. You give a pro a big stack early and ur all in for a ride.

Gotta agree.
Nothing I love more than sitting down at a live table at a Casino and telling people I'm an online player. They immediately think they smell blood in the water and I suck the table dry.
