When I played in a cash game in a Casino the second time. I held AJ offsuit and fold on a flop of AAJ, because I thought I had a pocket pair of 88 like I had on the last hand that was played. I realized what I folded when the cards hit the muck. I had to wait until after we left the casino to tell my wife how dumb I was.

That's the kind of thing that sticks with you and jumps out at you when you least expect it - just when you're feeling good about yourself for something, that memory will pop up.

Weighing the cost and risks... sometimes a fold is a win. Always give you a chance to be patient and wait for another hitting hand. GL

In a case like that it sucks to fold the nuts. But I mean what can you do after that. Once you folded better to not think about it cause it won't change anything.

I folded a nice Ace high Flush the other day, certain the Villian had a Full House due to the board and his out of character aggressive re-raising on top of re-raising. So of course he turns over nothing but air, not even a pair nor did he have any potential pre & post flop to make any hand besides a pair or two. I was so pissed.
I at least got to LOL when I took him out the game about 10 hands later!
