So I decided enough was enough with the online BS bad beats of pretty much made hands getting busted time and time again on the river and all I can say is i'm sooo glad I did. Pulled all my money off carbon and deleted that shizz.
Playing 1/2 NL live now and its night and day different.
My 2 pairs on the flop actually hold up 90% of the time, people respect your raises and generally don't play like complete retards like online(and if they do they're not rewarded they just quickly lose their stack and are on their way out) and the worst beat ive had this week so far is qq vs jj I flopped trip queens turn was j river was j, dude went all in on river after I called him down on every street, I actually thought about making the call since I im so used to online way where you just know they have the JJ it took me few a minutes and finally made the call, everyone at the table was like WTF were you thinking about I would of thrown my chips in so fast you wouldn't be able to blink and I was like idk guess im used to people sucking out on me... which actually wound up happening(They all looked at me like I was a psycho) Guy wound up with best hand of the entire hour in the room and won a cool $1k.
All in all i'm up around $450 bucks from live play this week same can't be said for online where making the right moves is met with your utter defeat over 50% of the time as you watch that 90%+ favored turn to a red 0 on the river.

they have some cheap like $30 tournys on sundays and few 40-60 ones during the week I might start playing I prefer tournaments to cash games, also I take back what I said about there not being retards there still are lol just they USUALLY don't get rewarded as much. Although I just took a nice $200 hit tonight when I flopped trips in position, chic next to me opens with $20 on flop old ass dude calls I re popped to $40 original raiser folded old ass dude for whatever reason calls. I push all in after turn, he decided to call with a k8 gutshot str8 draw...and sure enough he hits the 10 he needed lmao everyone at the table was literally like WTF was this idiot doing calling a $20 bet and then a reraise with k8... ended my night there I couldn't take it lol :P.

I wish there were close NL games here. The casino near me only has 1-3 limit holdem. Its such a bad game, people hang around with garbage hands and hit miracles on the river. Hard to protect your strong hands because its so easy to call.

yeah that's sort of how it is here when im at school im starting to see, most of the time you'll beat them out but its that unfortunate time where they suckout on you cause theyre calling your $40 bets to the river on their flush/str8 draw and hit it that sucks. I prefer tournaments to cash games so I think I might just stick to the $30-40 tournies they have here like a 4-5 table SnG basically so if you do well at your table pretty much guaranteed final table. Usually pay top however many tables they have.

About three years ago when I started playing I used to win consistently by just playing a tight range of hands ,now that strategy just doesn't seem to work something has happened to online poker over the last couple of years.

Yeah but you cant play with less than 20 bux live which makes online fun. Otherwise i agree with your post and experience Live v. Online keep it up.

OK. I'll disagree. I think the reason that people think online games are "fixed" is that they see so many more hands online. Any site that is fixing games isn't going to last long, IMO.
