Don't play at stakes where you can bust your roll that fast, and drop stakes if you are losing. You want people to play badly, don't complain when they do and it doesn't go your way. Variance is an illusion caused by insufficient sample size.

to the op BRM is your friend, if you didnt have alot/much of a bankroll then stick to sng's as opposed to going on cash tables DON's are good to increase your bankroll, if you have been building ure roll from freerolls for a while dont go outside of it dont then go to a cash table or high buy in tourney and lose it all in one go...at least dont do that then moan u got donked on :/
