This is not a useless thread, in my opinion.
I totally agree with this statement, too. For the most part, I realize anyone who typically says gg is generally choosing to be polite and for that reason I appreciate it. However, because I am choosy as to when I say it, doesn't mean I am mean spirited either.

I say it most times, i think more ppl say it towards the finale table, but nice to say all times

I usually say it when I take someone out, or if it was someone I have been talking to at the table. Sometimes I say it as an underhanded jab. I try to make a point of saying when I go out. Either way, I try to never say anything derogatory when I go out, and try to be extremely conservative about being so when others go out.
