    Pocket Pairs Need Some Help

I just busted out of the 4k $10+1 tourney on carbon both times with 88.

    goes like this:

    folds around to me.
    I raise about 3 x BB.
Folds around, then I get reraised.

    Should I fold 88????

I pushed both times. Once to AsQs and then to KK. Lost both times

yes I would fold unless you are low on chips and in that case you should open shove with 88.

I think if you get reraised most of the time you probably are getting beat there. I don't know a whole ton of people who would reraise with a lot worse than 88.

Yes, 88 fold to the re-raises. At best you're a tossup; likely you're dominated.

Unless like someone else said you're shortstacked in which case you'd likely open shove.

i think i would agree with forgortten son and greg, while i like 88, if i get reraised i would fold them. Then again it really depends on the players and stack size and position!!

Pockets 8's is one of those hands that I dont always raise with when there is a very aggressive player at the table to mask the strength of my hand but it depends on if your table is full of limpers.

If you are short you shove, if you have an average chip stack you either fold or see a flop, I would personally fold.
