yesterday I was playing in the Ladies Only tournament - first hand after the break, in 2nd out of 23. i'm in SB and I have KK - no one calls, I raise a little, BB raises again, I go all, BB calls with AA . I loose 1/3 of my chips. Next hand, i have KJ, no one calls, I raise, BB calls, I hit K J ( only one spade on the table ), I bet, someone calls, one more spade, I go all in, she calls, spade - she hit the flush with nothing post flop. I was down to 20 out of 23 in 2 hands

That KK looked like the start of a bad run. Maybe the raise with KJ wasnt enough or maybe you should have just limped it since you had just lost with KK!!

The KK loss was pretty much unavoidable, but you should have played the K J more conservatively, or else you will get donked out, that's poker.

thats why I stay out of the high ante ring games. shit like that will drive you bonkers!!!!!!! Play 6 seater sngs and play real tight early. the field usually gets cut in half without you even having to play a hand. then try to double up once you get a good heads up hand. generally you'll make the money if you can do this.
