I get it but after he raises you what hand are you putting him on? I'm not saying fold but it has to at least be in your thoughts. After 4 cards to the straight are on the board what are you trying to figure out with the bet there.

Ok, so honestly, it's not THAT bad of a beat, right? you do the standard 3xbb raise preflop and he calls with AJ... not too uncommon. On the flop, you're really not that far ahead. You have one out to improve, 8 outs to tie. He has 8 outs to tie and 3 outs to beat you, plus a chance to backdoor a flush or a better straight. It sucks, absolutely, and I'd have been saying some 4-letter words in your place, but at least you weren't beaten by truly donkish behavior
